System Benchmarks and Performance

I have a reasonable amount of experience with ONSSI's NetDVR product for windows, but reading the forums and building my own ZM system makes me wonder how performance compares.
ONSSI system: I have 41 Axis IP cameras running... about 17- 210/211's (640/480), 19 - 211m, (1280x1024), and a few other cams, including the axis 223m (1600x1200) running on the ONSSI Win2003 server system, all recording MPEG, 6-9 fps, 16 drive Adaptec SATA RAID card, with an Athlon64 X2 6400+. All motion detection, and CPU is at 45-68% most of the time.
When that system was being spec'd, ZM didn't have the features we needed. Now it has *most* of what I need for a new install.
Do you think that many frames being recorded (modect) would be possible on a that kind of hardware on ZM? Anyone with real experience comparing to other systems?
