I think I found a bug. I installed "/" in /dev/sda1 and in a separate partition /home, in /dev/sda2. So I have /events in /dev/sda2
But when I use purgewhenfull it checks for space available in sda1, so when sda2 gets full Zoneminder doesn't notice.
ZM should check space available in the partition in which the images are being stored.

Any workaround?

What do you have configured for ZM_PATH_EVENTS?
The value should be relative to your web root path and not a system path.
If you are using a symbolic link, it should point to the symlink in your web directory.
