Hi,

I'm new to ZM. I am thinking of using Zoneminder to continously record from 4 cameras in a small shop to deter/detect shoplifters.

I am having trouble deciding what value to set the Section Length to. My worry is that if it is set too short, an incident may span two (or more) files, and I can see the defence in court noticing this and asking "where are the bits you chopped out".

If I set it to large, the files may not fit on a disk to give to the Police or be hard to navigate.

Does anyone have experience of continous recording like this? Is it possible when exporting a video of an incident to merge multiple files into one? or just export a limited section of a large recording?

Also, is it possible to export multiple camera views in a "montage" type video for a particular period/incident so that the incident can be seen from different angles at once?

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.
