live camera view is not correctly refreshing

greetings

im using Google Chrome (but I have seen this behave exactly as stated below, or worse, in Firefox and Internet Explorer and Opera)

on a new setup of zoneminder, if i click a camera to view it live, it will show me the first frame, but, it sits there for a few seconds (the time on the clock isnt counting, so its just that one static frame), and then finally, after those few seconds it just displays the generic 'broken image'.

so then whats bizarre is this

if i right click on the image before it turns into a broken link/image and say to open it in a new window, i get the following URL:

http://xxxxxxx/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=sin ... 1266538114

and i can sit there and refresh that new window over and over and get updated images of the live feed!

BUT,
if i wait until after the live window turns to a broken image, and then i right click it and say to open it in a new window, the syntax has changed and Chrome reports that the URL is not available:

http://xxxxxxxx/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=si ... 6538930657[/b]

notice that there is an additional argument appended to the end there..

you may be interested to know that, if instead of clicking to view one cam live, i click to go to the montage view, it all works just fine-- but i see that in the montage view it is loading in over a java applet, whereas in the cam view it is simply pointing to a jpeg.

does anyone have any pointers for me on how to resolve this?

I'm having the same issue,
But in Montage view it works beautifully, full video from all cams.
if I click on the single monitor, I get a static snapshot then the broken image icon.

Not overly important that it gets fixed, but I'd like the function for future uses.

Thanks.

Same problem here,

I think this problem is down to the pc not necessary the browser. Why? well my laptop which I have Crome, IE and FF and all of them behave like you describe. My other laptop using IE and FF works fine. I did have a problem with youtube on Crome and to fix it I had to install some codecs, Im wondering if this is a similar problem...

if i get anywhere ill report back.

I read some where that you put some random numbers at the end of the link to avoid viewing the cached image... I don't know...

Same problem here with Chrome not doing the streaming JPEG, but changed the option mentioned in the post above from "Auto" to "Yes", and now working normally in Chrome. Thank you!
