Help with Linked Monitors

Ok, I don't get this linked monitor thing. When I installed my second
camera and set it up it has the first camera as a linked monitor and the first camera now has the second camera as its linked monitor.
When I set up my third camera it has the first two as linked monitors, the first camera has 2 and 3 as linked monitors and the second has 1 & 3.
Ok fine, but I am not able to add or remove a linked monitor from any of them nor when one triggers and records the other two that are linked don't record. I thought that was the purpose of linked monitors??
So what's up?

I am currently running 1.24.2 on Fedora 12, I see all the monitors listed in the linked listing yet none of the events are labeled as linked. That is a sure sign that there are no linked monitors. Documentation hasn't kept up with this feature (that I've read) although I believe you need to hover over a desired listed monitor and control left click it in order to link or unlink(?). Check your events for an alarm/linked cause.
If your brave and if you don't see any events that are linked then in the source column bring up a monitor and try the control left click on another monitor in the link listing(save), be sure to remember which one you did this to as I don't see any designator, then force or cause an alarm on the original monitor, check events again and you should see one labeled as "linked"; now undo the same way. I say brave because I wasn't able to unlink on my first installation...

Linked monitors works as team, like when you have 2 or more cameras pointing at a same location like the front of your house... you set one camera as a "master" and the other[s] as "slaves" when ever "master" monitor detects movement, "slaves" will record too, if no movement is detected on "master" but movement is detected on "slaves" they will still record...
I see all the monitors listed in the linked listing yet none of the events are labeled as linked
each and every camera will show the list of all other cameras for you to set a linked camera... that doesn't mean they are all linked...
Linked cameras are "selected" on the list, to unselected, just click on it...

Ok thanks. I get it.
All cameras show up in the list, you pick the ones you want by ctl-left-click, they then get a blue background, save, and they're linked.
I was getting recorded events that were caused by 'linked' instead of 'motion' but had no idea how to control/set them up. Now I do, thanks.
