Hello,

I currently run PBX in a Flash and Zoneminder together on the same CentOS installation. I need to reinstall PBXinaFlash and to make things easier for future I want to use ProxMox so I can have a PBX VM and a Zoneminder VM.

So - does anyone know, can Zoneminder run inside a Proxmox VM, and are there any guidelines/watchouts?

Please note, I only use IP cams on Zoneminder so I don't need to consider the drivers for the capture cards

Thanks for any advice

It should be fine as long as you have fast drives and don't overload the system. I know zmarch cd works under sun vm, but I don't know about others I heard there were cpu timing issues.

I just read up a little bit on Proxmox VM and with the vnc running i would make sure you dont open it up to the Internet directly VNC get compromised frequently use it though vpn or ssh tunnel.
