Zoneminder events

I have zoneminder installed on Ubuntu 8.04. I have 4 BNC cameras hooked up to a capture card on a desktop. Everything runs fine, and the events for zoneminder output to /usr/share/zoneminder/events. However, The directories are named with the numbers of the cameras i.e. 5, 6, 7, 8. With that said, the events files themselves when saved are randomly numbered. Im guessing this pulls from the database itself. Is there anyway to have the frames output as the date and/or time that the events occured? It is very hard to archive and and find specific events if I am not able to search the directories by date.

Not on the files in the events folder. For instance..one of the folders is named "4105" and then it will contain all of the jpeg files for that event id. Im sure it goes by event id because it will be (camera name-id number). Its impossible to find events when they are numbered liek this

USE_DEEP_STORAGE... if you activate it, all prev events will be deleted... but it will use YEAR/MONTH/DAY structure folders...

is the upgrade a seamless upgrade from 1.22.3 to 1.23.2, or do new packages have to be installed and so on.
