OK this is weird....
I've got 2 cameras (IP Foscam 8904) both working just fine. Both are configured for "Motion Detect" with zones and alarms set. They work great...for awhile and then they "lock up". The weird thing is that the event(s) are still recorded (and playback confirms) but I see no video update in the window and the alarm is not triggered. Quite frustrating.
All I have to do to resolve the problem is to close the window and reopen it and everything is fine....for awhile once again. It's usually anywhere from 10to 30 minutes. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks gang.
Camera Feed(s) Lock up???

Well I'm guessing it's browser related because I don't see anything odd in the log files and I don't even have to close the camera window that is frozen; I simply open a new window and the live feed starts working again, at least for a few minutes.
I'm not waiting for a "free lunch" here (I am searching and trying stuff out on my own), but a little insight from you more experienced ZM folks would be appreciated as I've never worked with ZM until this last Friday.

I had something like that happen when i used ZM in MPEG mode. switching to JPEG streaming (mjpeg) mode fixed it for me.

Well, as it turns out, I already had it set for JPEG. I futzed w/ it awhile more and decided to do a fresh install. I wiped the partition, installed xubuntu 9.10, and followed the instructions in the wiki, and was up and running in no time (excellent instructions BTW...thanks! ). I'm running ZM 1.24.1 under xubuntu 9.10 and so far ( crosses fingers ), so good. That being said, I appreciate the response.
Now all I need to do is figure out how to "upgrade" to 1.24.2 from the debian package I downloaded. I'm getting a libavcodec52 error. Off to search! LOL!
