ZoneMinder records not always, keeps crashing

Hi,
I am trying to set-up ZoneMinder in combination with a IP camera, but ZM keeps crashing.
Any help is (more than) welcome!
System: Fedora 11 on P4-1.6GHz
IPCam: VGA picture is stored every second on the HD. Let ZM get the picture directly results in the same problem.
