SAA7146 -- No video device

I have a Phillips SAA7146 Multimedia controller that has 8 cameras plugged into it's 15-10 connector. I installed ubuntu 9.10 and then installed zoneminder on top of it. I am now trying to add one of the cameras to start viewing. Unfortuanely I do not have a video device in /dev. Any ideas? Has anyone had luck with an SAA7146?
