I have succesfully made a Axis M3014 Cam working, and want to share my setup for other users.




Pre setup in the webcam interface:

Basic setup
4. Videostream

Resolution: 1280x800
compression: 0
limit framerate: 30






Zoneminder Settings:

General tab

Source type: Remote
Funtion: modetect
Maximum FPS: 30.00
reference image blend: 7


Source tab

Remote Protocol: http
Remote method: simple
Remote hostname: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (your cam's ip)
Remote host: 80
Remote host path: /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi
remote host subpath: empty
Remote image colors: 24 bit color
Capture witdh: 1280
Capture height: 800


Buffers tab (havent done any change here)

image buffer size: 40
Warmup frames: 25
Pre event image count: 10
Post event image count: 10
Stream replay image buffer: 1000
alarm frame count: 1




Hope this help in setting it up correct.

This setup is correct for me,

did you try also record in x264 format?
