CONEXANT CX25853

Just wondering if anyone had any luck getting any of the Conexant CX25850/1/3 stuff running? I just picked up this card and wanted to see if it was better than my BT878.

I can see the card in linux using lspci but that's about it. I tried the 2.6.33.2 and 2.6.31 kernels on Ubuntu, though neither one made a difference. I can't find the drivers for it anywhere other than Conexants site mentioning there are drivers for linux. I did find some threads saying the new kernels had started to support the chip but maybe not the /3 release?

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Have you had any luck with this card, Im interested in a PCI-e card solution.

All I seem to have found for PCIe solution appears like it's a PCIe to PCI bridge and then it has 878 chips on it.

But then again, I was even looking into my PCIe SAS-RAID controller and even that is just a PCIe to PCIx bridge! So you know there are some adapters for PCIe to PCI? The only thing is you probably need to use a half-height PCI card or do some modifications to your server so it will fit properly.
