1.24 or 1.23

I have 1.23 running on a system right now and have been for quite a while it's very basic just 4 low res cameras. I have loved it. other than a few occasional bugs it's awesome. I'm building a new system with enormous storage some xeons and 8 possibly high res cameras. I remember reading in a few places where people hated 1.24 because some features got stripped. But my memory is hazy. what's everyone's opinion? what would be better for me?

PS-read the last 4 updates of the changelog and it doesn't mention anything being removed. Am I making things up in my head?

I am currently running 1.24.2 on Fedora 12; this thing is rock solid! Not even so much as a burp for 40k+ events. It was hard to change from 1.23.3 but testing an installation post for Fedora 12 (something about sending flowers to Candy for valentines day) I was sold! As for the feature removals, the posts may have pointed toward the live CD's available; can't say for sure as I'm not experiencing any of that. Thanks to Zoneminder and those that continue to make this easily available to many Linux distributions.
