Hi. First up I must confess to being fairly new to Linux, but I'm getting there slowly...
I have followed all the guides I've found and tried to install ZM on various versions of Ubuntu, but I always fail when it comes to compiling ffmpeg. Loads of errors are produced when compiling and if I ignore this and carry on regardless I then get loads of errors compiling ZM.
I read in another post that the current/latest versions of ffmpeg are to blame and the suggestion was to use and older version. Now I've looked (googled etc) and can't find the source for an older version.
Can someone help please as this is driving me crazy!
Thanks,
Rob.
Problems compiling ffmpeg
Rob,
I don't know the first thing about Upuntu, but you can get any version of ffmpeg using SVN.
I showed how to do it in the last post of this thread...
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... ght=ffmpeg
If that doesn't help, post your compile errors and maybe somebody can spot something.
