New Droid Tablet, Portable Zoneminder Monitor?

Post by ryan43110 »

I came across a new item on DealExtreme.com that was just realeased:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.39169

It is a tablet that runs on the droid OS and has wifi. Being that it is new, lots of talk is going around in different forums and some have already released modified firmware.

I know a few people have been looking in to how to set up some monitors in their kitchens, bedrooms, etc without the need for a computer, and I am wondering if this is a new solution. What do you guys think?

Personally, I think this would be perfect for the bedside. I could check the cams at moments notice, but also use it for checking email, reading, or what not. Specs could be a tad better and I may hold out and wait for the next version of it.
