Hi,

first of all sorry for my english

.

I have the following capture card:
TV8802 from Abus. The Card has the conexant fusion 878a chip and 4 BNC Inputs and one S-Video Output.

I installed Debian lenny and Zoneminder 1.24.2 with the Howto from the ZoneMinder wiki.

My kernel is 2.6.26-2-amd64.

my /etc/modprobe.d/bttv has this content: option bttv card=77

In ZM I configured one monitor with the following settings:

Device /dev/video0
Capture Method v4l2
Channel 0
Format PAL
Palett RGB565
width 320
height 240

And i got only a blue Picture... But the FPS where shown under the Picture and they are changing.

The Cam (checked on the tv) is connected over BNC. The User manual says:

Blue means zm is in fact capturing but most likeley you have the wrong input selected.

That sounds gut ich added 4 Monitors with /dev/video0 channel 0 up to 3 and i plugged in the cam on every bnc port. No Result only blue picture. I testet grey instead RGB565 and than i have a black screen with small grey lines but you can see this lines only if you look extremly good on the screen. sorry for my englisch

If I used v4l1 the browser cannot find an image there is the little cross in the internet explorer.

Perhaps the Wrong card in option bttv??

means the card cant talk try removing cards from the pci bus untile the error goes away if that dosen't work you may have a bad card.

On windows this card works very well. I released all pci cards, change the pci slots but the error still exists. Normaly this card is a very good card. It was very expensive not like the PICO2000 but I don't know why this card doesen't work. I think I could be only the wrong card configured? card=77 is this right?

How good does the PICO2000 works? Perhaps I should buy this card?

Try setting card=0

if that dosen't work try to find a card# that works

I also highly dought its a 77 card which may be the problem as the cameras ports could be attached diffrently between models

your video should be /dev/video 0 <--notice the space

Sorry no solutions perhaps this card isn't compatible. Under Windows XP with the original software everything works fine. So I think it is an driver problem under linux. I should use another card for zm

You probbly have the wrong card= just by the fact you get a blue signele.
