Phantom events due to camera brightness

Hi,

One of my monitors which is mounted outside seems to cause many phantom events through the day.

When I look at the frames that make up the event, there seems to be quite a distinct change in picture brightness between the non-alarm frame and the first alarm frame.

I think it might be that the camera is doing some automatic change of brightness itself, however, I am unable to know for sure if this is the cause.

Does anyone have any idea which is the best 'Alarm Check Method' or which other settings can be set in the zone setup to prevent so many phantom events from occurring?

It doesn't seem like the camera has an option to disable auto brightness adjustment and it probably would be bad to disable completely since it is an IR camera.

Regards,
Whytey

Doh! I think this one is simple.

The alarmed frames were actually often showing that a large percentage of the frame had alarmed. By changing the zone settings, I was able to say only create an event if the alarmed percentage is between a certain range (8% to 45%). I further noticed that it was only a certain area of the frame that seemed to be affected by the change in brightness so split my zone in two, making the percentage range different for each zone.

Hopefully, this should help eliminate these phantom events.
