Bluecherry Zoneminder Live CD 2.0b
Bluecherry Zoneminder Live CD 2.0b
I hope this is the right place to post this question. I have downloaded the above mentioned live cd and I was able to install locally on the hard drive of one of my machines. The machine comes up fine and I was able to verify that the zm service has started successfully. However, I'm not able to access the http://localhost/zm url from within the machine and I simply cannot find any references to Zoneminder anywhere on the installation besides the service.
Well you probably gave up or fixed it by now, but hopefully this can still help someone.
I had the same problem, and noticed that the webserver wasn't running. I tried /etc/rc.d/httpd start but it just failed and didn't say why. I then tried /usr/sbin/apachectl start and it said it couldn't determine fully qualified hostname or something like that. So I added a line in /etc/hosts with my ip addr 10.1.2.3:
10.1.2.3 zmhost.mydomain.com zmhost
and then apache started fine
/usr/sbin/apachectl start
Then I could get to http://localhost/zm
Good luck,
-K

Re: Bluecherry Zoneminder Live CD 2.0b
One thing that i've found (when i've been slack)
I've forgotten to setup the Purgewhenfull filter.... the disk gets full, Apache cant write any temporary files, zoneminder service is running, but cant login etc.
I got around it by manually going to the path where the images are stored and removing some(dont worry the audit will take care of the invalid database references) once there is enough space, setup the purgewhenfull filter and try again.
Hope that helps.... (even if you may have solved the problem already)
