Zmu question

Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a simple surveillance system for my home, eventually going to buy nice cameras, but trying webcams here at the start to see how I like it.
I'm running 10.04 Ubuntu, and I followed the tutorials here until the point where you actually set up a monitor in the console. I have the console running and can see a feed from the XawTV program, but I can't seem to set up the monitor correctly to see the feed in the ZM console.
I tried the zmu command from the tutorials to get the stats on the connected video device, but I'm phrasing it wrong or something- I'm not a Linux genius.
Can anyone tell me EXACTLY what to type in to get the stats for /dev/video0 ?
