I am running Ubuntu 10.04LTS and Zoneminder 1.24.2. I am running a usb camera, and a webcam without problems. I have a fake IP camera that I got on Ebay. I am using admin:@192.168.1.178 for Remote Host Name, and /videostream.cgi for Remote Host Path. The camera streams video fine. I can get control functions using my browser, by using "http://192.168.1.178/decoder_control.cg ... admin&pwd=" with the command used as with a Foscam, and the desired action occurs with the camera, with an "ok" reply.
Using the foscam control script doesn't work, with the not such file or directory log entry. Control type is set to the foscam script, and Control address is 192.168.1.178
When I select the control on the monitor, I get the control pad, but it does not work.
My questions are:
Will the Foscam script work with this camera. There are 4 places that the control scripts appear on my system. What points to the right script? Do I need to modify the script? The browser functions that work were derived from the script, and they all work on a browser. Where is the address link setup in the script? From what I can get from wireshark is that no functions are being sent. Streaming is normal on wiresdhark. Wireshark shows normal handshake for browser functions.
I am still new to zoneminder and need whatever help I can get.
Thanks
