I have video camera surveillance system, based on analog and IP cameras of different vendors. It contains 10 video servers at different locations, connected with slow and unstable data links. That's why I have following schema: there is an external attached 1-2 Tb HDD on every server and 10 more HDD as "replacement". Once in a week or two HDDs are swapped and transported to central office.
There is a server with big RAID 5 in central office. Video data from filled HDDs downloads to server, erasing oldest data, if needed. When users need to watch video older than period that recorded on their servers, they connect to the archive server and watch it there or ask employee in central office to find required video.
Is it possible to build the same schema, based on ZoneMinder?
