how to see the camera?

This may be very simple question, I am just very new in Linux and in this program.
I followed the ubuntu guide in the Wiki and installed zoneminder.
Now it says that I should go to http://localhost/zm and configure monitors.
I configured the monitor, but how do I see the camera output now?
when I click on the monitor name I just see nothing.
my card is something generic based on the TW6805 chip with four BNC connectors. I installed the TV68-v2 driver and then V4l.
it works with xawTv
