Hello,
i´am running ZM in Versaion 1.24.2 with 3 foscam ip cameras / Modect.
I searched the forum for different words but i dont find the way to activate a view similar to this one
.
How to set up this kind of analyzing?? My events only show a red border around the whole image if there was an motion detection in this frame.
I think this is similar to the view above
Thanks in advance to point me to the right direction!
Cheers
EDIT! TYPO in version.... Sorry. Updated to the correct Version.

Thanks for the quick reply - the option is selected, but takes no effect - it was already selected before i´ve posted my question.
Another part i miss is the thumbnail column - maybe its a difference between versions?
Or maybe its just a fault from me?
Update... The thumbnail view was disabled.. Works now. But the motion track or how should i say? isnt still activated.
Can i check any other settings? maybe device settings?
Thanks!

Now that you have thumbnails enabled you can adjust their size under the configuration, web, width and you'll see the red tracking. Or just single click on thumbnail for a more detailed view. Your cat picture is in this more detailed view.

You do have the cameras set to motion detect right? Not just record.

Right, all set do MotionDetection, the configuration in my last post looks similar to the other cams.

Uncheck "WEIGHTED_ALARM_CENTRES", save and restart.

Am I the only one who saw the version the original poster said they were using?
1.2.42?
I thought 1.24.2 is the latest version.
On topic, I don't see a "thumbnail" on any of my events. How do I turn that part on?

Options-> web-> WEB_LIST_THUMBS; add tick and save (maybe restart)

thanks bb99, but disable WEIGHTED_ALARM_CENTRES
doesnt solve this problem.
Maybe some other suggestions, or ways to debug this?
thanks in advance!

Compare your zone settings to these:
Code: Select all
Name - all
Type - active
Preset - choose preset (none)
Units - percent
alarm color - 255,0,0
alarm check method - blobs
min/max pixel threshold - 25,0
filter width/height - 3,3
zone area - 100
min/max - alarmed area - 3,75
min/max - filtered area - 3,75
min/max - blob area - 2,0
min/max blobs - 1,0
overload frame ignore count - 0
If a setting is significantly different try adjusting. I'm guessing analytics is seeing the entire frame as movement.

okay i have set a new zone up with your settings.
umm maybe it doesnt work with an area smaller than all?
i currently just tried it with zones divided in small shapes..?!

All we're trying to do here is eliminate or point the finger at zone settings as the cause. I've seen several posts on this issue with no definitive solution so I'd like to get this one down to the point where you can say this was the issue and this is how I solved it. You will figure this out; we're only here to point you in possible directions. Once you get it fixed then you can move back to the old settings gradually to post where the breakdown occurs. Phil and anyone else can take this info. and fix the code if need be.

Thats my point of view too!
Thats the reason why i setup a new zone with your settings - but in your settings i miss the definition of a shape - i´ve taken your values down to my new zone. I also checked the *-r *-d images, i will post you later.
I can see the white pixels IMHO these pixels are the base to generate the analysis images?!
So let me help to find a way out - i will be able to make a lot of debug!
thanks
