*update:video capture card works, webcams dont!*
I have 3 devices, 2 different logitech usb cameras and 1 hauppauge 4-input component PCI card, and I can't get any of them to work!
I've spend 20 hours trying to get it to work, but I'm out of ideas. At first I has 64-bit Ubuntu, but then installed x86, same problem.
So I have 3 device hooked up.
video0 = webcam
video1 = capture card
video2 = webcam
All 3 devices work on cheese.
When i run or I get:
I only have a valid answer from video1 (which doesnt work either):
I have tried many various outputs. I tried
Here are some log outputs.
Video0&2 error log:
Video1 error log;
[/code]
I also get this error:
The monitor for all the videos always show up red, but on some settings of video1 I like a black box, but on the bottom it says 0 fps, or sometimes it looks like a broken image box and just says "Waiting 192.168.1.128..."
I have come across this http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=60854, but I am not capable of recompiling zoneminder, and others said it didn't fix their problem
var/log/messages gives me this for video1:
UPDATE:
I got the video capture to work, i had to use version 1 for capture method. I didn't expect the capture card to give me much trouble, but the usb webcams are still up to no good.
