hello everybody!

I use a cheap cctv color camera, that works prefectly in tvtime (options bttv=77 in /etc/modprobe.conf).

in ZM, no way to display a color image: only GREY palette is usable

no way to display properly in zm: main settings:
format: PAL
palette: none works (no image box) except GREY
max FPS: 25.00

please help. cannot understand if there is a ZM settings issue or whatever..

thanks,
Stefano.

solved:

I just changed the values of he shred memory:

in /proc/sys/kenel/shmall -> from 2097152 to 134217728

in /proc/sys/kenel/shmmax -> from 33554432 to 134217728

the default values may change based on your distro.

now the colors are visible with almost any palette selected.

..and, by the way, if you need to keep that values after next reboot, add (or modify) the following in /etc/sysctl.conf:

kernel.shmall = 134217728
kernel.shmmax = 134217728
