modect time stamps

Post by tbrsc »

ZM = 1.24.2
fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04

camera is a vivotek 7138

everything fired up ok.
1-2 fps

when using motion detect i am having sporadic issues.
Image
the time stamp is obviously corrupted.
If i try to look at a corrupted event, zm slows to a halt.

I delete the corrupted images & all is well for a while.

will take a look at the logs

if anyone has run across this before
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

cheers

all events are recorded normally

I would also reccommend the tweeks made to the sql file. This made a huge difference in this problem on my system and also lowered my system load considerably. Things are much smoother now. There are several posts on here concerning your problem. There seems to be an issue of the sql server stamping videos with a date of 12/31/1969. Tweeking the file /etc/mysql/my.cnf helped a lot. using mysqltuner helps to tweek that file. And it is not hard to use. If an onl Windows guy like me can figure it out anyone can.
I don't know wether to wind my butt or scratch my watch.
