Zone Parameters for scenes of blinking/flashing

Hello All,
I installed ZM without too much hassle. Documentation is generally quite good. Do keep up the good work!

I can easily setup motion detection for alarms of people walking, et cetera...

My real goal is to trigger alarms when there IS blinking or flashing in the scene! Like small blinking holiday lights at night. Would this kind of scene be considered similar to motion (detection)?

I have set the triggering method to alarmedpixels and tweaking the zone parameters using small min/max (1/10) pixel threshold and small min/max (10/2000) alarm area (zone area 306,720=640x480), but without much luck.

I test in a dim room with a 4 slowly blinking (1/second) incandescent flashlight bulbs.

In modect the lights will be seen as changes and will alarm (record) based on your settings. Search up "modect on light changes" and do the opposite (most want to eliminate this alarm cause) until you get your result.
