ZMLarch and ImpactVCB Help...

Hello, all.

I am running ZM 1.24.2 from the Arch Linux LiveCD. I have two ImpactVCB cards installed in my machine.

I have read the forums here and elsewhere before posting and am extremely confused.

I have a problem trying to use more than one camera per card. I cannot get it to work at all! I've tried setting the card with modprobe.conf (options bttv card=143...tuner=4...pll=0) I have tried all variants of these options and cannot get it to work at all!

I have tried card=143, card=82, and card=10, and card=10 seems to work the best. The PLL options mess up the images worse, and the tuner does the same.

If I set options bttv card=10,10 and leave it at that, they work fine with one cam per card just fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
CJ Burchfield

I've got a screencap of what's happening. If somebody will email me, I can show you the image. I'm baffled as to what's going on.

I have the camera connected to the same card as another camera, and in the montage, it shows the other camera for this one, and flashes to this one at random intervals.
IE: Cam_3 -> /dev/video1 (CH 2)
Cam_2 -> /dev/video1 (CH 0)
Montage shows Cam_2 in its own window, and Cam_2 in the window for
Cam_3, with it flashing images from Cam_3 at random intervals

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Try changing the value In options::config::CAPTURES_PER_FRAME to 2 or maybe even 3. This will solve your problem if it is multiple cameras on a single chip (channel issue).
