I was able to install ZM so that my camera works as does motion detection. I have a DYDNS account set up to point to my home PC. I am not using a router at all and I have a live IP address on my computer. I am not able to access my ZM homepage. Would anyone be able to assist me in figuring out why that is? I am running Ubuntu 10.4

you need to know if your pubblic ip adress is behind a firewaal or not, if so, you need to configure you firewall to correctly forward port 80 on the ip adress of the zm server.

if the pubblic ip adress i xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx directly on your server (also called DMZ server) be carefull is better install a firewall such iptables you need to configure it:
Basic iptables howto

Iptables is a firewall, installed by default on all official Ubuntu distributions (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu). When you install Ubuntu, iptables is there, but it allows all traffic by default. Ubuntu 8.04 Comes with ufw - a program for managing the iptables firewall easily.

read more on :

make sure your server is correctly configured to listen on port 80

is the nat made by your router or not?
