ZM 1.22.3 & D-Link DCS-1100

Has anyone had succes using the D-Link DCS-1100? I've looked on the page that lists compatible D-Link cameras, but this one must come under the "hit and miss" category.

I've tried several different remote host paths:

/video/mjpg.cgi?
/video/mjpg.cgi?profileid=# (this seems to be what the D-link software requests)
/VIDEO.CGI?
others

Any other suggestions? Might this be one that requires ActiveX? The camera's video stream can be accessed with Apple's Safari & I don't think it's friendly with ActiveX. It does only see the profiles that are set up for JPEG.

My messages file is showing many Wating for capture daemon messages:

Aug 12 21:36:48 ZoneMinder2 zma_m3[5998]: WAR [Waiting for capture daemon]
Aug 12 21:37:19 ZoneMinder2 last message repeated 31 times
Aug 12 21:38:20 ZoneMinder2 last message repeated 61 times

Thanks

I discovered this by accident after reading your post:

http://login:passwd@ipaddr//video/mjpg.cgi?profileid=2

Note the presence of the two slashes. When I went to paste the info from your post into my browser, I somehow wound up with the extra slash, and it worked.

In ZoneMinder 1.24.2....the configuration looks like this:

SOURCE TAB
Protocol: HTTP
Method: Simple
Port: 80
Host Name: login:passwd@ipaddr
Path: //video/mjpg.cgi?profileid=2

Number 1, 2, 3, or 4 correlates to the available stream that you configure inside the camera itself. On my DCS-1100, stream 2 is configured for MJPEG, 640x480 resolution, and quality is set for excellent.

It works well in ZM, the rtsp links don't work in ZM.

Hope that helps...
