card upgrade bt878

Hi my first installation of zoneminder was using a card with 4 channel but just one bt878. With this card the FPS was about 7.5 per camera. Now I switch this card for one with 8 of this same chips and the same 4 cameras but the FPS are the same. What I'm missing?
