alerting only on on certain zones

Hi, I have 3 Trendnet cameras, on a ZM 1.24 setup on Fedora 12.
On the camera on the front yard, I'm using modect to record motion on the street and in my yard; this is working and currently sends me emails whenever an alert occurs.
However, I'd like to only email if there is an alert in the yard, but still record if there is motion in the street.
I realize I can create multiple zones, but I do not see how to control the email alert PER ZONE.
