ZM 1.24.2 , upgraded ? with SVN files 25-9-2010

don't know if i have to do anything else to activate those SVN files ?

tried almost every setting i could find on the net but in montage view i still have random lockups tried in explorer / firefox / chrome.

ok, seems to be i found it ,
- took a second server with same hardware.
- fresh updated 10.04 Ubuntu Desktop on it.
- installed zm 1.24.2-build3 via apt-get install zoneminder
- some headbanging to the wall to get it working, needed to do :

from the wiki ( ubuntu desktop 10.04 )

sudo ln -s /etc/zm/apache.conf /etc/apache2/conf.d/zoneminder.conf and sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload (restarts Apache)

# $ sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/zmfix
# $ zmfix -a
# $ sudo adduser www-data video
# $ sudo gedit /etc/sysctl.conf (this launches gedit)
# scroll to the bottom of the file and paste in the following: kernel.shmall = 134217728 kernel.shmmax = 134217728 (Note: This only takes effect after a reboot)
# To increase the shared memory on a live system;
# $ echo 134217728 >/proc/sys/kernel/shmall
# $ echo 134217728 >/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax
# save the file (File > Save or CTRL+S)
# exit gedit

# To increase the shared memory on a live system to test the forgot to mention you have to be root ! ( as the $ tels us )
so that would be :
sudo -i
echo 134217728 >/proc/sys/kernel/shmall
echo 134217728 >/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax

then i put in 2 monitors with all the same settings i used in my production server. further all setting leaving to default.

didńt took long to see the log files been filled with errors.

when googling fr the answer about the error :

[Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0002', 2: No such file or directory]

i always did get lot of searchresults about setting the shared memory thing

could change that settings but the error wouldnt get away and i still did get lockups in the montage view.

till i found that setting the "Maximum FPS" to something like "5" solved my problem regarding lockups.

so i think letting this option to default , ( wich is nothing ) it eats up all its memory or something and then crashes the source.

also Maximum FPS set to 5 did get rid of those [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0002', 2: No such file or directory] errors in the zmwatch.log[/code]

so my idea is to change "Maximum FPS" default value to something in upcoming releases ? any thoughts about this ?
