RTSP for better bandwidth control?

Post by ocgltd »

Now that I have my axis camera working via the HTTP interface, I'm thinking about switching to RTSP.

From what I read, this protocol allows the client to pause/play the video stream which SHOULD let zoneminder ask for frames only when needed.

Is this a correct assumption? Or does zoneminder just use RTSP to keep the camera pumping out frames that it ignores?
