Hello.. I just installed Zoneminder on Ubuntu 10, Im very impressed with the funcitonalities and the possibilities for the future of this great Open Source.

I would like to know if this can be hosting on AWS Amazon Web Services?
Or Elastic Hosting, or any other Cloud hosting .

Thanks in advance.

Why not try Ubuntu server with Eucalyptus (I think they call it Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud)? Amazon's cloud service was pretty expensive last I checked

You can build your own cloud system with a couple of old computers running Ubuntu server quite easily.

Though I'm not sure why you would need to run it on a cloud - do you have an enormous amount of cameras, or are you just looking for redundancy?

Hello, thanks for replying..
I dont want to have a server running for saving it, however I would like to mix it with the Open Source eyeOS. So I need to know if there are good Hosters for Zoneminder. And yes I would have like 50 cameras connected with Zoneminder.
So thats why I need a very wide space for it, Ill make clean ups every 15 days.

I'm fairly ignorant of clouds, but... 50 cameras? Bandwidth? CPU.load?

That would require a high end server with fast I/O if run locally. Across the internet, how would it come with such problems?
