[SOLVED] Zoneminder hangs when trying to view event

I have Zonemnder 1.24.2 running on Ubuntu 10.10(had same issue before upgrade from 10.04)

Update: Did a clean install with Ubuntu 10.10 64bit server and have the exact same issue.

There are 5 cameras set to Modect and everything works perfects until I try view events.

I can view individual frames and even run through the time line to get a movie effect effect but if I click an event to make it play, it shows one frame and then locks up. I have to close the browser and open it again before I can access Zoneminder, just closing the tabs doesn't help.

I have tested from several different computers with different browsers and I get the same result.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok, I just realized that I get similar messages to this one on another box that does work correctly so I'm assuming this is not the problem

That narrows the problem down to these line, can anyone give me some advice?

I tried enabling Cambozola, now I get the first frame then I get a black background with "Time to next even = 9 seconds" written in white. It doesn't lock up and I can continue using the web interface.

same here, very unstable montage event views.

tried many many hours with all kinds of settings

just downloadin 1.24.2 arch live cd to try. giving up on ubuntu 10.4 and 1.24.2 for the moment. its not stable.

I had set my "Image Buffer Size" and "Pre Event Image Count" to the same value, lowering the second one fixed my problem.
