ZMC - "Bus Error"

Post by spandit »

Have been trying to install Zoneminder on my Qnap TS-209 Pro II, which is an ARM device.

I downloaded and installed a Debian ARM version and although I can get the web interface up and running, I can't see any video on my camera.

Looking at the logs (and I can't get extra debug to do anything), the daemon zmc fails with signal 6. Trying to run it from the command line, with or without ANY options, gives the simple message:

"Bus error"

That's it. I get the same from trying to run zma, zmc or zmf

Is this an architecture thing?

Looking in my zmwatch.log, I get the same message over and over again:

11/12/10 22:30:43.825725 zmwatch[7743].ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0001', 1: No such file or directory]

(albeit with different process numbers and dates etc.)

I've got the PATH_MAP set to "/tmp/shm" (which I've chmod to 777)

Output of 'cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax' gives '134217728' (which I changed after reading some other posts regarding the memory error)

Anything else I could try?
