remote host name value being truncated after being saved

Hi,
I have the Kubuntu 10.10 install of 1.24.2 and it is working but one monitor has a long string that I need to add in the SOURCE section for REMOTE SOURCE NAME. It keeps truncating it down to about 72 characters.
Can anyone tell me what file these values are stored in so I can modify it outside the GUI? I am hoping that it will keep it as I need to add about another 50 characters.
