I have a new installaton, in order to protect it I added a password to my admin account and now everything is greyed out.

I can go everywhere but can't make any change either in the monitor parameter or in the option tab

I can't of course add any new users or cams ?

Any clue on how to "unlock" my admin account

Go to Options and Users, and make sure your Admin user has all Edit permissions.

Unfortunately the admin user is as well greyed out

Shall I start a fresh install

and this is your only user on the system? maybe somehow you locked yourself out of the appropriate permissions? Are you actually logged in as the admin usre (does it say 'admin' on the frontpage)? What does it show for your permissions under the User Panel? For example, Admin shows the followin for me:

admin* default Yes View Edit Edit Edit Edit

Worst case, you can change the permissions in the Mysql database. I can give you an example on how to do this if you don't know how.

Excactly same problem, i even made new user and gave almost admin privileges to it, and same problem, can not add new monitor or edit any settings, buttons are greyed.

As far as i can remember i did not do any changes when this problem appeared, there was only 1hour delay when admin was logged in and then i logged in with my laptop and with that laptop i noticed this problem first time.

I installed Zoneminder yesterday with aptitude, from Debian own repositorys.

I reinstalled Zoneminder, and now i cant get cameras work anymore like yesterday

But the original problem is still there, after reinstall, i was able to do anything what admin can do, but when i choosed "PT_USE_AUTH Authenticate user logins to ZoneMinder [ ]" and restarted ZoneMinder (/etc/init.d/zoneminder restart) everything was gray and were not able to do anything.

Luckily i had mysql dump so i fixed this very fast. What makes this? Why PT_USE_AUTH cannot be ON ?
