ZM_VERSION=1.24.2

Just reinstalled via Yum - there is no zminit. I did create and update(s) the DB. Started the service - and have 5 zm processes running. Problem is when I bring up the home page it's blank. When I php index.php I get:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/html/zm/includes/functions.php on line 2309

And words of advice before I spend hours debugging?

Ok, youse guys didn't come up with a fix so I had to figure it out for my self

PHP-5 and Zoneminder require /etc/php.ini short_open_tag = On

If it's "Off" the home page errors out and the page is blank.
