Compatibility of this USB webcam?

I want to play around a little more with Zoneminder. I'd like to buy several of these cheap-o web cams (http://item.ebay.com/320630059202) and tinker with the software. Is there a way to figure out if it is compatible? Or would I have to buy one & try it to see?
