1.24.2 recording frames prior and after motion detection

Post by John Bowling »

I can't find a setting for these in Options, and some recordings only have frames after motion should be detected and end prior to motion stopping.
The camera zones are the default - I can't find the zones settings.

I was used to these in an earlier version (1.22.?) but now that 1.24.1 has this:
FEATURE - Improved debug on event creation and closing to make clearer why/when events are starting and stopping.

Everything is working, with great images, just the recorded results are not useful. I'm trying to see who is preventing a pedestrian gate from closing. Frames recorded start when the person is next to the gate, not while walking up, and stops with them part way through. No frames showing the gate closing. Not at all useful!

Do I need to use the motion detection in the camera? Not all of them have it.

Using: openSUSE 12.3, ZM 1.24.2, AMD tricore, 2300 MHz, 4G DDR2 Ram,
Asus M3A78-CM mother board, all inputs by IP, no capture card.
The gate in question has an Axis 2120 outputing continuous jpegs.

Zone settings are still where they've been since well before 1.21.3, index page::zone column. To change what shows up without changing zone settings adjust your buffer settings; Source::buffers, change pre buffer (pre motion) to any value that gets all you want; adjust post buffer large enough for the same effect.

Yes they are there.
It seems like I remember them being under Options somewhere with the older systems. I did not have to change them for the last couple of years, so my memory was not working that well.

Thanks
