i installed 1.24.2 via package manager aptitude in ubuntu 10.04 but i can't seem to get my 3 snc-m1w's to work. i've searched the forum and can only find patches for 1.22.3 that enable these ip cameras here http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... 7361#37361

i downloaded the source for 1.24.2 but the patches fail. should i go back to 1.22.3 if i want to use these cameras?

i'm getting errors trying to compile 1.22.3 from source. i hope someone can point me in the right direction. i've searched and read all that i could find on setting up snc-m1w cameras but to no avail. i'm new to zoneminder but would really like to get this working.

i'm going to post here just in case there are others with these sony ip cameras that are struggling. i fiddled with the settings on 1.24.2 for the better part of 3 days until i finally gave up and started focusing on getting 1.22.3 installed.

the error i was getting while trying to compile 1.22.3 was fixed by following the directions in this thread http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... bf8238bc94. after getting 1.22.3 installed with the patches for sony cam's from here http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Sony it works!

is there any reason that these patches were not included in the most current release? i looked at the code changes in the patches but it didn't look straight forward enough for me to try and adapt the changes to 1.24.2.
