Install failure after ZM uninstall

Problem solved: Many thanks mastertheknife make went with no issues after your suggestion

Note to others: Referenced guide is missing make install process after make and the configure arguments for ffmpeg include "--enable-libfaac" which I believe is a typo, deleted option and all ran well.

I uninstalled a working ZM after having issues with modetec not recording. I have upgraded from Unbuntu 9.04 to 9.10 and have tried every installation guide I can locate. Each has failed at some point. The last attempt made was with Ubuntu 9.10 - ZM 1.24.2 Source Installation Guide in the Wiki. It fails at Make with the following:

I am about to accept that I have to wipe this hard drive and start completely over. Can someone help me avoid doing that please?

Hi,

To compile ZM 1.24.2 with modern ffmpeg you need to add CPPFLAGS="-D__STDC_CONSTANT_MACROS" to your ./configure line.
You might want to try 1.24.3 (from SVN or preview and use with ffmpeg 0.6 or newer) which according to some reports, doesn't require the line above but might not work\compile at this moment.
