Hi,
I install ZM on Ubutnu and on Debian.
When i connet to ZM local server (http://192.168.0.195/zm/index.php?view=watch&mid=1) I so this picture

when I install xfce4 and open cam in xawtv picture shows normaly.

How I install zm:
1. apt-get install zoneminder
2. ln -s /etc/zm/apache.conf /etc/apache2/conf.d/zoneminder.conf
3. sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload
4. chmod 666 /dev/video*

I use web-cam.

dmesg | grep video

lsusb

what does

zmu -d /dev/video0 -V2 --query

tell you?
