So I have resisted upgrading because I have never gotten bttv cards to work with Zoneminder 1.24 that work PERFECTLY with 1.23.3 ... but I need rtsp support so I have made the upgrade. I upgraded my database and did everything as posted for Centos 5.5, but as expected 1.24.2 is running but the cameras are all red

I am using a:
Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture

with 8 ports and a 320 x 200 NTSC cameras

I have tried fresh installs at all locations I use BT878 cards and NONE of them work with 1.24.x that work on 1.23.3 fine? What setting am I missing here?

I am using V4L 1 I have tried 2 as well but neither work.

I have also tried probing and I get the message:

Unable to probe local cameras, status is '255'

zmu -d /dev/video0 -v -q
returns
Error, failed to query crop capabilities /dev/video0: Invalid argument
