I have a camera, call it 'A', that I've set up in Modect mode and that works fine. I get events when motion occurs, and all is happy. I have two other cameras, B and C, that I want to have record whenever A detects motion. B and C don't do any motion detection themselves.
Foolish question #1 - should I go to the setup for camera A and link it to B and C? Or do I go to the setup for B and link it to A, and the setup for C and link it to A? Which direction does the linking flow?
Foolish question #2 - since I don't want B and C to do motion detection, what mode should I select for them? Nodect? Can Monitor mode still record events when linked? Or do I have to set to Modect too, and define no zones?
And #3 - I'd actually like B and C to function as time lapse recorders. Is it possible to have both that and the alarm linking to A? Can I set them to Record mode and still have them generate an event at their max frame rate when A alarms?
Thanks,
Bob Armstrong

Normally I would tell B and C to link with A. if you want them to record when A detects motion.
I would imagine Nodect is the setting you need for B,C to be able to record.
