Port Forwarding

I want to enable access to a Zoneminder box from the internet. This is a work environment, and since we don't control the firewall, a request can take several weeks to process, I therefore want to check 100% that I am requesting the correct ports!

I know I need to open port 80 for web access to the server, does the video also stream over this port, or do I also need a seperate port opened to allow the video content to be viewed (in the same way some ip cameras work)?

Many thanks

Steve

I believe everything runs over port 80 (or whatever port your configure your Web server to run on. Some ISPs like mine block incoming port 80). I have only forwarded an alternate port number on my setup and I am able to access/stream successfully.

Like said, the default port is 80, and it's the only one you need, everything go by that port, console, streams, etc.
If you don't want to wait for the firewall to be open, you could install hamachi and access it right away, it's pretty easy to setup, and works very well.
