Bareword "ZM_DYN_DB_VERSION" not allowed while "strict subs"

I'm running ZM 1.24.4 on Ubuntu 11.04 64bit
Or rather was running without any problems. The server has been running for more than 3 weeks in a test setup, but I ran out of space, and had to delete some files under /var/www/zm/events to free some space! But after that I haven't been able to start ZM again, and a reboot did not help!
Im getting this error if I try to start zm:
root@ZoneMinder-64:/usr/src/zm# /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl aktiv
Bareword "ZM_DYN_DB_VERSION" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl line 159.
Bareword "ZM_DYN_DB_VERSION" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl line 158.
Bareword "ZM_DYN_DB_VERSION" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl line 160.
Execution of /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl aborted due to compilation errors.
root@ZoneMinder-64:/usr/src/zm#
But I'm 100% sure that I did not change anything, but I suspect the auto update!
Does anyone have a clue?
