[SOLVED] OPT_MESSAGE?

Post by jbmia »

Okay.. I've got OPT_EMAIL working... AWESOME! But your never quite finished with ZM.. there's always a "hmmm.. can I do this?.. or let me try that now?"... rolling around in my head..

So.. I've got both OPT_MESSAGE and OPT_EMAIL flagged. OPT_EMAIL works awesome! How 'bout OPT_MESSAGE??

I know I can receive sms messages at, "01234567@att.text.att.net" for example. I've tested it by sending an email via CLI. I've got OPT_MESSAGE checked of course.. I've flagged it and deflagged it and restarted in between to know effect. I'm watching maillog and seeing the OPT_EMAIL address going out... I checked zmfilter.pl and theres code in their relating to OPT_MESSAGE.

Anyone point me in the right direction? Is it an EITHER / OR option? Or, can I get both?

Thanks!

Must be a typo but text to att = XXXXXXXXXX@txt.att.net and video = XXXXXXXXXX@mms.att.net, good luck (.jpg is supported @mms.att.net)

I should add for Verizon: @vtext.com for text and @vzwpix.com for video (.jpg is supported)

Were you able to send both email/text at the same time? to separate email/text addresses? My HDD-installed of ZMLArch 1.24.2 would only send BOTH email/text messages to the same EMAIL_ADDRESS (ignores the entry within MESSAGE_ADDRESS field) for some unknown reason. My event filters are working fine for email, text, and FTP. The problem is ZM doesn't use the MESSAGE_ADDRESS box at all!

Yes, I can send to separate email and messaging accounts...

Under options/email.. populate both addresses with different addresses.. for email I use and email address for message I use my at&t cell email address that routes it as a text message... Make sure opt_email and opt_message are flagged.

Then under filters check either box to test.

Once you get email to work, they both should work. Hope this helps..

good luck..

Thanks for the reply. I did exactly as described yet when the opt_message box is populated with my Sprint's address, text doesn't get routed at all. If I were to populate both fields with their corresponding addresses, enable both email/txt options and filter them correctly, I'd get BOTH messages under the same Gmail account. I have to rely on filters within Gmail to re-direct/forward the shorter text message to the Sprint address in order to get both email/text as originally planned.
